What to Do When Your Router Has No Internet

Is your WiFi connected but no internet? Don’t worry! Follow these simple steps to fix it.

1. Restart Your Router

  • Unplug your router from power.
  • Wait 30 seconds and plug them back in.
  • Wait 2–3 minutes for the internet light to turn on.

2. Check If Other Devices Have Internet

  • Try using another phone, laptop, or tablet.
  • If other devices work, restart the one with the issue.

3. Check Your Internet Plan

  • Confirm if your ISP have no outages
  • If your bill is unpaid, your internet may be suspended.

4. Check Cables & Connections

  • Check if WAN light in on your router
  • If WAN light is not On Make sure the internet cable is securely plugged into the router’s WAN (Internet) port.

5. Check if Router has reset

  • Check if you can see your wifi name
  • If not check if your router is powered
  • If you see a different wifi name like default router wifi your router has reset
  • Contact your internet provider configuration.

6. Call Your ISP for Help

If none of these steps work, your Internet Service Provider (ISP) may have a problem. Give them a call!
